The Laboratory of Chemical and Analytical Control of Wastewater Quality is one of the main structural units of the Department of Environmental Supervision, which controls the quality of wastewater discharged by subscribers into the sewerage system of the city of Kyiv in accordance with the "Rules for Accepting Wastewater of Subscribers into the Sewage System of the City of Kyiv".
The laboratory is accredited by the National Accreditation Agency for technical competence in accordance with the requirements of DSTU EN ISO/IEC 17025:2019 (EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 IDT, ISO/IEC 17025:2017, IDT).
Field of activity:
Analysis of untreated wastewater (industrial, domestic, technical);
Analysis of return wastewater (water discharged into natural water bodies after treatment);
Analysis of surface water (rivers, lakes, swamps, canals, reservoirs);
Sampling.
The laboratory provides:
control of the quality of wastewater discharged by enterprises into the sewerage system of Kyiv, according to the sampling schedule;
wastewater studies, which are carried out in accordance with contracts;
execution of arbitration samples in the presence of the subscriber;
laboratory control of wastewater quality at three stages of the Bortnytsia aeration station;
laboratory control of return (waste) water from the main canal;
laboratory control of wastewater quality at pumping stations of the Kyiv region (satellite cities), as well as at sewage pumping stations and collectors of the city of Kyiv;
laboratory control of surface water.
Ten sampling engineers take wastewater samples. On average, the laboratory analyzes almost 1.2 thousand samples per month. Chemical analysis of wastewater is carried out using 30 indicators.
