Reconstruction of the sewage network continues in Podilsky and Shevchenkivsky districts.
On Illinska Street, reconstruction of the network continues on the section from Brovarska Street to Pochnyna Street. More than 60% (237 m) of the planned length of the 400 mm diameter pipeline has already been laid, and the entire planned scope (36 m) on the 600 mm diameter section has been reconstructed. Also, 10 out of 18 sewage wells have been replaced.
During the works, traffic is partially restricted. On Illinska and Pochnyna Streets, traffic is organized according to an agreed plan with the Kyiv City Patrol Police. On the reconstruction section on Pochnyna Street, temporary one-way traffic towards Illinska Street is organized.
In the Shevchenkivsky district, reconstruction of the sewage network continues on Nestorivsky Lane from Kudyravska Street to Vosnesensky Uzviz. Out of 286 m of pipeline, 122 m has been replaced, and 9 out of 15 sewage wells have been reconstructed.
On this section, traffic is also partially restricted according to an agreed plan with the Kyiv City Patrol Police.
On both objects, during the performance of the works, the wastewater is directed according to a temporary scheme, so the reconstruction of the sewage networks is carried out without limiting water supply and wastewater disposal for consumers.
It is worth noting that the sewage collector on Illinska Street was built in 1957, and the collector on Nestorivsky Lane - as early as 1912. Due to the long period of operation and the action of gas corrosion on the collectors, periodic emergency situations began to occur. Therefore, reconstruction was started to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the sewage pipelines and stable wastewater disposal.
