Projects for 2021

26.01.2021 11:02
**2021 Plans and Projects** **Chlorine-Free Water** As part of our "Stop Chlorine" program, we will continue to explore optimal water disinfection technology at the Desnyansky Water Treatment Station. Last year, we launched a chlorine dioxide disinfection system at the Dnieper station, which is currently operating in test mode. Once fully operational, we will analyze its suitability for use in the Desnyansky station modernization project, which supplies 60% of the city's water. If necessary, we will select and test other technologies. ![Desnyansky Water Treatment Station](assets/images/_CZZ2703.jpg) **Bortnytsky Aeration Station Reconstruction** By the end of the second quarter of this year, we will complete the repeat procedure for selecting a general contractor to perform reconstruction work at the Bortnytsky Aeration Station. After signing the contract, reconstruction work will begin. The construction is expected to be completed by 2027. During this time, the Bortnytsky Aeration Station will significantly improve wastewater treatment, reduce harmful substance concentrations in the Dnieper, and completely eliminate odor issues in the left-bank districts of Kyiv. ![Bortnytsky Aeration Station Reconstruction Project](assets/images/6.%20БСА%20проєкт%20реконструкції%203.jpg) **Desnyansky Water Treatment Station Wastewater** In 2021, we will actively address one of the most pressing environmental issues for our enterprise – the discharge of wastewater from the Desnyansky Water Treatment Station into the Rusanivka lagoon. We plan to build a wastewater treatment plant there. After the reconstruction of the Desnyansky Water Treatment Station, the discharge of wastewater treatment products into the Rusanivka lagoon will be completely stopped, and dehydrated sludge will be disposed of at a solid waste landfill. This will significantly improve the ecological state of the Rusanivka lagoon. Additionally, the implementation of new technology will allow for more efficient use of water, electricity, and reagents at the Desnyansky Water Treatment Station. The construction of the wastewater treatment plant is expected to begin in the middle of 2021. ![Desnyansky Water Treatment Station Filtration Basin](assets/images/ДнВС%20-%20Бассейн%20залу%20фільтрів_2.JPG) **Odor Control at Pumping Stations** We have finally found an effective solution to the problem of unpleasant odors around wastewater pumping stations (PS) and will begin implementing this technology at the largest stations located near residential buildings this year. The new technology involves equipping the ventilation of the grit chamber with an ozone system. We have already retrofitted the "Voskresenska" PS. In 2021, we plan to implement ozone technology at the "Myshylivka" PS (near the Vidubitsky metro station). ![Ozone System at Voskresenska PS](assets/images/Озонування%20на%20КНС%20Воскресенська_26.01.2021_2.png) **Capital Construction** In 2021, we plan to complete the reconstruction of the wastewater network on Illinska Street and Nestorovsky Lane, which is being carried out using our own investment program funds. This year, we will also begin the reconstruction of another collector – on Verkhovyna Street – as part of the city's Economic and Social Development Program. We will also continue the reconstruction of Dnieper crossings, which will ensure stable wastewater transportation from the right-bank part of Kyiv to the Bortnytsky Aeration Station facilities and prevent environmental risks. ![Dnieper Crossing Reconstruction](assets/images/IMG_20201217_161016.jpg) We are also working on the technical modernization of three wastewater pumping stations. The completion of their reconstruction and commissioning is planned within the 2021 Investment Program. By the end of the year, we plan to complete the construction work and commission the 1st lift pumping station at the Bortnytsky Aeration Station. ![Bortnytsky Aeration Station 1st Lift Pumping Station](assets/images/IMG_2338.jpg) **Remote Services** We will continue to develop our remote services. We are currently working on updating our mobile application, which will allow convenient payment for services, submission of meter readings, ordering sealing and verification, etc. The updated version will address existing issues and include new features. *All images are placeholders and may not represent the actual content.*
