Such a water meter has a special attachment and a data transmission module. All lines from the meters in the building are connected to a single concentrator, from which data is centrally transmitted to the water utility.
New buildings are now required to be equipped with such meters (they are installed by the developer).
Upon the residents' request, such meters and remote monitoring systems can also be installed in any building, regardless of the year it was put into operation. However, residents must install such meters in all apartments in the building simultaneously, not just in a single apartment.
If all residents of the building agree to the installation and have the funds for it, the head of the OSBB or another managing company can initiate the development of project and cost documentation.
*Water losses are the difference between the readings of the general building water meter and the sum of the apartment water meters.
